Research Essay Assignment

Your research paper will examine a film of your choice, approved by Professor Daily, and will argue how and to what extent this film succeeds or fails to portray the American Dream.

Annotated Bibliography and Paper Proposal

  1. Identify a film that portrays the American Dream. 
  2. Create a research question that acts like a flashlight in the dark. 
  3. Research at least 5 primary and secondary sources. 
  4. Compose at least one paragraph on each source (annotate) that comments on its value to your research question. Recognize and note (annotate) bias in your sources.
